Paper Airplane Folding Instructions

1. Fold one corner diagonally.

2. Cut off the extra piece at the bottom, making a square piece of paper folded once to make a triangle.

3. Fold the corner of the triangle over so about 1/3 of it is overlapping the paper behind and 2/3 is sticking out.

4. Take one layer and fold it in the opposite direction as shown.

5. Fold the paper plane in half.

6. Fold one wing up at a slight angle.

7. Repeat step six with the other wing.

8. Finally, fold down both wings and accordion fold the head inside to create the beak.

The Wing Loading is how much of the paper airplane's weight is being lifted by each unit area of the wing's surface. In general, an airplane with a lower wing loading will glider better. A standard piece of 75gsm printer paper is used for all of these measurements across the website.
