Paper Airplane Airplane Folding Instructions

Step 1

1. Fold the paper in half lengthwise and then unfold.

Step 2

2. Flip the paper over and fold the top edge down about 1 inch (2.5cm).

Step 3

3. Flip the paper back around and fold the top two corners to the middle crease.

Step 4

4. Fold the top triangle piece down, so the diagonal edges line up with the top corners of the paper.

Step 5

5. Fold the triangle piece back up so that the point touches the top of the paper.

Step 6

6. Flip the paper over to the back side and fold the top two corners to the middle crease.

Step 7

7. Unfold the previous step and then fold the top two corners to the new crease that you just created.

Step 8

8. Refold the crease that you made in step 6.

Step 9

9. Gently separate the two layers at the tip of the airplane to reveal a small pocket. Tuck the front piece into the pocket.

Step 10

10. Fully insert the point into the pocket and press it flat.

Step 11

11. Fold the paper airplane in half.

Step 12

12. Fold down each wing so the edge of the wing lines up with the bottom of the airplane.

Final Paper Airplane Design Arrowhead

Give the Arrowhead's wings an upward dihedral angle to improve its stability. You may also need to bend the back ends of the wings up a little bit to counteract the heavy nose.
