This paper airplane was modeled after the longest continuously produced military aircraft. Print, assemble and fly it at home.

The "Lockheed C130 Hercules" is from the Heritage (Vol 3) series of paper airplanes produced by Whitewings. It is modeled after the four-engine military transport aircraft that was first manufactured in 1954. Hercules has the distinction of being the longest continuously produced military aircraft, with more than 2,700 built over 70 years.

Whitewings gliders are a brand of well engineered paper airplanes that can soar for over 30 seconds and travel more than 200 feet. This is a cut-and-glue style airplane that requires some patience and careful assembly, but you will be rewarded with a durable paper plane that is an excellent flier.

This downloadable PDF file contains all of the instructions and printable plans that you will need to assemble your aircraft. The instructions include suggestions for the best paper and proper glue selection. It has step-by-step assembly instructions and tips for adjusting the final airplane for optimal performance.

You will need cardstock paper, craft glue, scissors and a hobby knife. You will also need a printer that can print onto cardstock paper. Most home printers have this capability. For maximum flight time and distance you may also want to use a simple rubber band catapult launcher.
