Pin the Tail on the Airplane
A twist on the classic party game. Blindfolded players take turns trying to put the tail back on the airplane.
In this variation of the classic "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" party game, players take turns trying to put the tail (or propeller) back in the correct spot. To make it more difficult they are blindfolded and spun around to disorient them. We have prepared a downloadable packet that includes a poster and tail/propeller pieces that you can print at home to play this game.
How To Play
First, you will need a big poster of an airplane that is missing its tail or propeller. We made one that you can download below. Pin this up on the wall.
Then prepare some loose tail or propeller pieces and put a bit of double stick tape on the backs. Each player should get a piece.
Player take turns being blindfolded and spun around a few times. They must then carefully make their way towards the poster and stick their tail wherever they think it should go. The person who sticks their piece the closest to the correct spot is the winner.
We have prepared the poster and all of the pieces that you need to play the game. If you have a Pilot's License, you can download the PDF and easily print and play this game at your next party.
There are two other variations to this game that you may prefer to play.
1. Pin the Pilot on the Airplane: Have each person's photo or name on a piece of paper. Players try to pin themselves into the cockpit of the airplane. The closest pilot to the correct spot is the winner.
2. Pin the Airplane on the Map. In this variation, have a large map of the world posted on the wall. Each person tries to pin an airplane as close as they can to a specific city.
Both of these variations can be played with the downloadable packet linked above (you supply the map). We also encourage you to get creative and come up with your own variation on this classic party game.
