This boxy paper plane is great for gliding through the air.

Paper Airplane Folding Instructions

Step 1

1. Fold the corners down to each side and unfold, making an X shape.

Step 2

2. Fold the top down so the three crease lines up with the center of the X.

Step 3

3. Fold the top two corners to the center line.

Step 4

4. Open up the previous steps and accordion fold the sides into the middle.

Step 5

5. Fold the left and right points up to the top, as shown.

Step 6

6. Fold the top down to the end of the triangle shape.

Step 7

7. Fold the paper airplane in half towards you.

Step 8

8. Fold out both sides to create the wings. The body should be about a 1/2 inch tall (1.3cm).

Step 9

9. Finally, cut two small flaps at the tail of each wing.

The Square

Point the flaps down and throw slightly upwards and this paper airplane will flip upside down and return to you like a boomerang. Point the flaps up and throw hard to get a nice glide through the air.
